Aim:
This research seminar is focused on the exchange of knowledge, procedures and technologies that might contribute improve the quality of life and biopsychosocial well-being of people who are especially vulnerable due to their state of health, situation of disability and dependency, or stigmatizing social condition, in all stages of life.
Psychological and Transcultural Aspects of Health and Illness (PATH) is a multidisciplinary research group focused on the study of psychosocial and transcultural aspects of health and illness, paying particular attention to end-of-life care, assessment and intervention in grief, disability and chronic diseases, neurodevelopment and nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
PATH Research Group and the School of Physical Education and Sport Science were part of the Network on the Integral Study of Well-Being Throughout Life (2009-2011). Professors Kostas Karteroliotis and Maria Koskolou, of School of Physical Education and Sport Science. National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, are invited professors in the Master´s Degree in Health Care for the Promotion of People's Autonomy and Attention to End-of-Life Processes (CUILIFE) of the University of Granada, teaching the seminar “Age, Physical Activity and Health”.
